2. Scope of Services
Alfa Mobile offers a range of mobile and internet services, including but not limited to:
Mobile SIM deals, including options for minutes, data, SMS, and airtime.
Mobile devices, accessories, and computing devices.
Internet solutions (LTE, FTTH, FTTB, microwave, satellite links).
3. Eligibility and Registration
Customers may purchase certain products outright without creating an account. However, to apply for any contract-based services, users must complete an application form, provide supporting documents, and be at least 18 years of age.
Contract durations range from month-to-month to 3, 6, 12, 24, and 36 months.
4. Contract Terms and Early Termination
By signing up for a contract with Alfa Mobile, you consent to our credit vetting process.
In cases of non-payment, the full contract cost, along with bank charges, attorney fees, and additional recovery costs, will be due. A default fee of R80 applies to late payments.
Contract cancellations require a one-month notice after the term end date; early cancellations incur the full contract balance as payable.
Specific fiber cancellation terms apply, with an early termination fee of R2000 for FTTH/FTTB services if canceled within the first 12 months.
5. Billing and Payment
Alfa Mobile bills monthly and one month in arrears. New allocations activate on the 17th of each month.
Supported payment methods include credit card, debit card, EFT, and bank deposit.
A pro-rata charge applies for initial activation periods from the activation date to the 16th.
Provision of data will be done 1-3 working days from clearance of funds.
6. Refunds and Returns
Consumers have a 7-day cooling-off period to return non-defective products for a full refund, per the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
Returns must be unopened, unused, and in original packaging. Exclusions apply to digital products, including airtime, data, and top-ups.
7. Fair Use and Service Limitations
Alfa Mobile may apply fair use policies on certain unlimited data plans, detailed in product descriptions.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Alfa Mobile values customer privacy and does not share personal data with third parties.
9. User Content and Conduct
Users may post comments and reviews on the website. All user content must adhere to our guidelines and must not be unlawful, harmful, or abusive.
10. Dispute Resolution
Alfa Mobile complies with South African laws, including the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), to facilitate efficient dispute resolution.
Initial complaints can be addressed through Alfa Mobile’s customer service.
If unresolved, disputes may proceed through the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) or National Consumer Commission (NCC). Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) may also be an option.
11. Intellectual Property
Alfa Mobile’s trademarks, logos, and other intellectual property are protected under South African law. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by South African law, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts
